Har oversat den således: At home again, He had a lay down in the safety drawing room but he knew he had to pinch his brother’s bike to ride to the dentist.
I ought to think of my wife’ new coat, the kids’ winter boots, the dog’s flee collar and what I owe on the pub myself.
There he laid with the nose in the hard as rock black surface of the asphalt. More correctly – the color of the asphalt was that instant moment the same as the bikes: Blood red color!
Ser de fornuftige ud, sætningerne er nemlig i datid.

Et par forsøg ...

1) Now he lay at home in the safetiness of the drawing room knowing that he would have to pinch his brother's bike in order to ride to the dentist.
2) I have to think of my wife's new coat, the kids' winter boots, the dog's flee collar and of what I myself owe to the pub.
3) There he was lying with his nose in the hard, black surface of the asphalt. Or more correctly, the color of the asphalt now being the same as that of the bike: blood red!
Bare sådan fra hoften en sen aften.
