Ege's latest ad-campaign portrayed graphic ‘before-and-after-photos’ of overweight patients who had allegedly achieved massive weight loss and svelte-like contours by liposuction alone - an impossibility according to a Health Board spokesman, who dismissed the ads as 'grossly misleading,' and portraying results that could only have been achieved by surgical procedure. Ege has previously been in the media spotlight after being sued by a number of patients accusing him of medical malpractice because of cosmetic surgery operations that went wrong.

Your post about criminals on the Costa Del Sol came back to me today, when I read my local Danish newspaper. It featured an article about a infamous Danish doctor, who has been convicted of fraud and malpractice in both Denmark and Germany.
Guess what. Said doctor is now setting up shop (clinic) in Marbella ! Apparently backed by English investors...
You might want to warn your friends and readers down there against this "doctor".
His name is doctor Jørn (or Jorn) Ege Siana and he's a plastic surgeon (infamous for his failed penis-enlargement operations !)... Danish papers have covered his cases extensively, but I haven't found any international coverage.
Consider this a warning - this you don't want this guy to redecorate your body...including your private parts !

Has been brought before the Danish Ministry af Health by the National Board of Health concerning a restriction to his license to practise. The restriction encompasses liposuction. The final decision in the matter will be made in a Danish court of justice.
Furthermore Dr. Jørn Ege Siana has received an injunction concerning his medical records which have not been satisfactory.

Finally. Dr. Jørn Ege Siana`s clinical practise is currently subject to more rigorous supervision by the Danish health authorities.

Warning from Denmark
Jørn Ege Siana`s cosmetic surgery.
On September the 9th 2002 I Was traumatized In Cosmetic surgery, the operation suggested by the surgeon Jørn Ege Siana was called “Buttock lift” It was a counter indicated procedure, and furthermore, performed without my consent. Add to this, I was not correctly informed of the procedure in accordance with the National Board of Health’s directives of “approved medical Practice”
Due to the fact that I was not properly informed of the extent of the procedure, I could not have been prepared for the size of the actual incision when I originally gave my oral consent, as the procedure I agreed upon was very small and only involved correction of loose skin.
I was not informed that the procedure involved removal of fat, this was performed without my knowledge, and while I was under anaesthesia. As I had lost 24 kilograms of weight I did not have any real deposits of fat left.
I withdrew my oral consent at the beginning of the anaesthetic, the surgeon Jørn Ege was informed about this, the surgeon Jørn Ege proceeded with the operation and as such I consider the operation done without my consent.
The procedure left me disabled and has had profound effects on my quality of life, mainly because of the constant pain.
So far I am dependent on medication; it is subscribed to me by ‘Rigshospitalets Pain center’
I have been the vice chairman of a patient right organization called Patientforeningen Denmark. We focus on constantly bringing to attention the areas in our patient’s rights legislation that have a negative influence on the health care system.
Above all, we have tried to bring attention to the lack of control in all areas of cosmetic surgery, that the patients, and the patient’s rights, are made to suffer from, in regards to standards of the medical equipment and the lack of rules concerning the doctors’ educations.
In Denmark any Doctor are allayed to perform cosmetic surgery whiteout having qualifications like special education.
Of cause we do not approve of this, wee mean that only the skilled Doctors who have authorizations as specialist in plastic surgery should be allayed to perform Cosmetic Surgery.
This partially Doctor/ surgeon Jørn Ege Siana, by the way, has not had a properly Education as a specialist in plastic surgery, as the other Doctors/ Danish Specialists in Plastic Surgery have.

This Controversial Copenhagen cosmetic surgeon Jørn Ege Siana has an only two years long education as a specialist in plastic surgery and has taken this ultra short education in Sweden.
Afterwards the Danish National Board of Health has being so wary kind as to offer this controversial Doctor Jørn Ege Siana a dispensation because in Denmark we have an agreement with the countries in Norway, Finland and Sweden about that Doctors educated in these countries should have authorization to bee working, and have their authorization, whit them over boarders in these particular countries
Therefore Doctor Jørn Ege Siana has now bind provided with a dispensation from Denmark as a specialist in surgery and plastic surgery from the Danish National Board of health.

Though Jørn Ege Siana had previously been in the media spotlight after being sued by a number of patients in Denmark accusing him of medical malpractice because of cosmetic surgery operations that went wrong.
The Danish National Board of Health, has time and again, provided this controversial Doctor Jørn Ege Siana with so called:
“ Certificates of good standing “ written in several languishes so that Doctor Jørn Ege Siana could seek recognitions as a specialist in surgery and plastic surgery in several other countries.
At the very same time; the "Danish Board of patient Complaints" had treated several cases of patient complains, where the decisions from the "Danish Board of patient Complains" all has been like following:
“ The Danish Board of Patients Complaints has found that the treatment of this patient by Doctor Jørn Ege Siana Was not in accordance to acceptable professional standards”
Wee understand that in England there are patient rights legislation, a Doctor can be sued according to medical malpractice if this Doctor performs experiential surgery on his patients, without having these patients consent.
In Denmark Doctors can only be reprimanded by the "Danish Board of patients Complains" and the Doctors are not sanctioned in any way.
A Doctor in Denmark actuality can have a closed full of reprimands from the so called. "Danish Board of patient Complains" and the Doctor can still perform surgery, with no remarks in the Doctors authorization.
Wee have tolerance in Denmark, especially towards Controversial Doctor Jørn Ege Siana who is performing experiential surgery whiteout his patients consent, and therefore with his medical malpractice has disabled several patients, and still Jørn Ege has continued these surgical experiments, even though several of his patients has already been damaged, Jørn Ege has time and again; continued performing the same surgical experiments on patients whiteout these patients consent, Jørn Ege uses his patients to perform surgical experiments on, without these patients consent.
We are 20 disabled people, some with constantly strong pains and lifelong damage of; as well their health, as disfigured face, and impotence of their private parts as a result of the controversial Doctor Jørn Ege Siana`s experimental surgery, performed by Jørn Ege with us patients being under anaesthesia and without our consent.
All of these; his experimental operations where performed as being:
“Not in accordance to acceptable professional standards”
In accordance to other skilled Doctors, having to exam us
However these skilled Doctors being colleges, by medicinal profession, of Doctor Jørn Ege Siana are not allayed to speak up, about Jørn Ege Siana`s medical malpractice, and inform the public what was going on; in Doctor Jørn Ege Siana`s practice, where Doctors legislation and patients rights legislation has bind overruled by, so called, Plastic Surgeon Jorn Ege / Jørn Ege, causing terrible cosmetic result, as well as serious and lifelong health damages.
Caused by this experimental surgery on patients, without their consent, performed by Doctor Jørn Ege Siana, several patient who beveled in Jørn Ege Siana`s expertise as being a specialist in plastic surgery, unaware of the "National Board of Health" inalienability to conduct their obligations towards the citizens in Denmark.
The "National Board of Health" is obligated to bee like a sort of watchdog for all medical personal with an authorization from the " national Board of health" and the
" National Board of Health" have legislation to restrict Doctors practice and make injunctions to a Doctors practice, and even to recall Jørn Ege Siana`s authorization given the amount of damage done by Jørn Ege`s medical malpractice and the danger Jørn Ege Siana continues to bring his patient in.
